Ok well as some of you know i recently had my crank pulley replaced. After it was replaced i set the crank pulley at 0* and i noticed that the cam gear marks were not pointing straight up like they use to.. do the cam gear marks need to point straight up when the crank is at 0*? If so how do i go about getting them properly set? my car also feels alittle more sluggish than it use to, would this cause a difference in performance? thanks

actualy it was just a simple mistake on my part, the time is in fact correct. The first time i lined the crank pulley up at 0* the cam marks were pointing straight down instead of up, i then turned the crank pulley around one more time to 0* and the cam marks were pointing straight up like they should. I also did the test where you put like a chop stick in cylinder one then turn the crank pully to see when cylinder one is all the way up, and the crank pully was at 0* and cam marks were straight up. so i believe its all good.

my cps adjustment has always fallen in the middle of the allowed range.
Yea, top dead center is what you've found. You were on bottom dead center.

i didnt know it would run with the cams 180 degrees out?

You sir have your timing set correctly.

Also, I don't believe the car was running with the cam gears 180 out. He was attempting to find TDC, but on the wrong stroke. Once he figured that out, he rotated the motor one more time around, and the cams lined up correctly with 0 that time. I was trying to relay the importance of timing it with a light to fine tune the timing. If the crank and cams line up, he could still be off due to the CPS. If the CPS is installed correctly, you should be near the center of the adjustment range.
