Damn it!!!!!!!!

I knew I shoulda bought a MKIV. I always heard they were gonna go up in value.

I bet this guy is gonna try to convince somebody that it's worth that, but the high bidder never paid. Then try to let some idiot give him $300,000, and call it a steal. He'll have proof it's "worth" $500,000.

The numberred bidder thing is to keep people like me from being able to e-mail the bidders, and offer to sell off of ebay. Now, I have to list everything I sell, and pay fees on them all.

Notice that the high bidder is "Bidder 5"... And that all the bids are between Bidder 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
Private auction to keep bidders identity private.

my guess is the guy asked a rediculously stupid opening price for it, and a bunch of other people bid it up with fake bids to make the guy realize how stupid his asking price was.

Let's the opening bid was 20,000.
Bidder 1 puts his max bid at 50,000
The auction only says the highest bid is 20,000, belonging to Bidder 1.(no-one has outbid him yet)
Bidder 2 comes along and see's 20,000 so he bids 25,000.
But bidder 1's max is higher, so that just bumps bidder 1's the bid up. (he still is willing to bid as high as 50,000)
Bidder 2 is outbid and tries 30,000. Bidder 1 still has a higher bid.

The bid will be bumped up until bidder 2 bids higher than bidder 1, but all of bidder 2's cheaper bids will be logged.

Kind of confusing, but if you just think about it, and bid alot, you get used to it.

What it is? Its some ones car they found for sale on ebay, NOT FOR SALE BY OWNER.

So the owner got all of his buddies to really F2#$#ck up this guy's fake ass auction. Fun times, fun times.

I'm pretty sure this was discussed over on sf... Someone pulled the info and images from a member's ad awhile ago, and is now trying to do a dodgy sale, even though it isn't their car.... Has been happening quite a bit lately... The real owner found out, and now they are making stupid bids...

Had it happen to a friend here... Managed to get her NA MkIv up to $16million...
