I remember doing that.. or something like it. I was trying to make it to Toyota on an almost completely burned out clutch. I was trying to baby it across town at 3am. A fully burned out clutch smells BAD. Like, burning corrosive chemicals bad. If you've never smelled it, you don't want to. Clutch burned out completely and was useless about 1/4 mile from the dealer. I probably don't have to tell you all, but the MkIII is one heavy sonafabitch, and it doesn't matter that it's on wheels - it's still alot of car to PUSH.

My friend started his corolla from a dead stop in 5th gear one time on a "I bet you can't do this..." bet. STUNK, clutch smells the worst. I've seen a vid like that except with an LS1 :p

i did something similar. i was in my v6 tiburon, with all my friends holding it down. me being a dumb@ss, i listen to my friend, by popping the clutch at 4grand. i started to burn the clutch and i stopped from the smell. i did it again, this time at 3grand. i began to do my burnout in first and made it all the way to 4th gear. lol... they wouldnt warranty my tires i bought a month ago....
