So my local jank yard has a turbo supra, and the car has a setup of KONI BLUE shocks/struts with the Eibach springs. They look new, no rust, no leaks, even the brakes on that car look new with the calipers too. There are no signs of abuse. Now the guy is asking for $250 for the KONI Eibach setup. How much would you pay?

I want to know if they are worth it or not? The Koni yellow shocks and the Koni blue shokcs are they the same or different?

In reality does it matter? ;)

If they are Koni they are rebuildable. My opinon, go out and buy them. If there is nothing wrong. You got a steal. If there is something wrong, well you find a person that rebuilds shocks or contact Wiisass here and you are set.

The "adjustability" mantra that has perpetuated over coilover and such is crap. A set of shocks that are built correctly for the application will ALWAYS be better than something that is terribly off to begin with.

While I can't speak for the Konis, I DID find an Eibach Pro Kit at a local Pick-N-Pull. Upon finding these springs, I was literally on my cell phone with Eibach trying to find out if there was any chance that the salvage yard springs were bad...they said that as long as they weren't physically damaged, they should be okay. So a buddy of mine and I pulled them off this MK3 and took them to the counter to pay for them. The price for the Eibachs? The guy wanted--I swear--40 bucks. My friend said it looked like I was gonna break my arm reaching for my wallet so fast...:icon_bigg
