My 1jz runs 14 inHg at idle. Just wondering if that is normal for this motor or should it be higher? I checked around for vaccum leaks but couldn't find any. Let me know your guys input on this.

with crower 272 small core (264s) i pulled ~ 14-15" at idle (bumped to ~ 900 though). Stock cams ~ 19-20 (same 900 idle)
i got 19-20 on my 1j but its idling at 1300 rpm i got vacuum leaks but i plugged em up and still is idling kinda high. ill have to check them all again and see if it'll drop down.
Mines around 700 rpm idle, I live in western north carolina so the elevation is high not sure if that has anything to do with it, my mods are intake, exhaust, bov, and a safc neo. I'm gonna be lookin around for it just wanted to get some input thanks guys!

Does anyone have a vacuum diagram for the 1jz? After removing my parts to polish, I had one vacuum port with no vacuum lines running to it. I ended up just blocking it off, but I know I had something going to it at one time. Thanks.

how can i check it? the idle speed control is the sensor thats on the intake manifold side all the way in the back by the firewall right? if so then there should be some type of hose or line coming off of it but that hose/ line is not there. can someone post up a picture of it so i can see? i believe this may be the source to my super high idle.
Just pull it out and clean it. It's an electronic unit, and the motor inside can get all gunked up over time.
I haven't checked in a while, but mine is somewhere around there too...

No I haven't had time to go over to my dad's dealership and test it. I've just looked it over for like 5 minutes yesterday.
