How much USB 2.0 is needed?

I was about to order up some USB 2.0 cables from E-bay after reading through some search topics...but didn't see exactly how much I will need to do the extension on my harness. Can anybody help?

Also, should I completely rewire all four of the shielded sensors from connector to ECU or just the two knock sensors?

The ebay 15-ft pack of USB will do two wires. About rewiring all of the shielded wiring, that is up to you. If you're going to be tearing into the harness anyways, go for it.

FYI-
USB 2.0 works but you can do better. I'm just going to lengthen mine - if you use the right cable and proper connections you shouldn't have any problems. I'm using heat shrink on the inner wires, then soldering the shielding together, then wrapping the joint with aluminum foil making contact with the shielding, then heat-shrinking the works. I was going to re-run the wires but decided it wasn't worth tearing the harness apart, besides the fact that the plugs are fragile and difficult to replace the wire in.

For knock sensor/diag wires (brown and gray):

For cam and crank sensors (blue, gray, and black, thickest wires in the bunch):

What's the best technique to use to solder the shielded wiring...I've never seen the inside of shielded wires, much less soldered them.

Thanx again,
