There should be numerous threads, but I would guess between six and eight thousand dollars to do a swap. It might be a little less if you don't replace alot of things, but when I did my 1j swap, I replaced all the seals and gaskets and new radiator, injectors, turbo and alot of other things. good luck.

It was only ~ 15-20 wires for my 1j swap, no extending necessary.

its very easy to drop the engine in the bay. very easy.
If you can't do the wiring, spen d the 3-400 dollars and get it done by DR.Tweak and it will pretty much be plug and play. If you can drop the engine in, you should be able to hook everything else up....

this is only required if you plan on keeping the OEM turbo setup. Most people go for an aftermarket setup to avoid said reason.

Ahh not %100 sure, I think if you get a US spec set of turbo's you'll be fine look at Titan Motorsport they usually have them cheap. From what I have seen it has been enough of a headache for people to go straight to a single turbo.

nah, i want the legandary 2j under my hood, thanks. and i will deal with the headache of keeping the twin's. maybe it is a bad choice, but it is what i have wanted for a long long time now. i just hope the usdm turbo's are less of a p.i.t.a....

well ive went into it before but mainly efficiency. sure a 2jzgte is oh so legendary blah blah blah lick its nuts and say you want more.... but you could get a mean 1jz or 1.5jz, a mean 2jzge turbo'd, or have a stock 2jzgte sitting in your car.

how i see it, fitting a 2jzgte into an mkiii supra is just like buying the 2jzgte and then buying a 1jzgte front clip. you are spending the same amount and you are practically swapping everything that makes the 1jz unique to our car onto the 2jz (oil pan, electronics is also an option, transmission etc)

i bought the flywheel back to differential, both oil pans, wiring, engine mounts.

with the 1jz you have the option of throwing in a 2jz bottom block as well...

and if you really want the stock twins usdm turbos are the way to go but thats a given, and when you hammer the firewall back at least paint it :p i would get custom abs lines ( if you have abs) rather then bend them

See, I think the other way. I figure if you're going through the effort of putting a 1JZ into your car, you might as well go with a 2JZ.

Even my 1.5JZ over my 1JZ was a world of difference. The increased bottom-end made the car a whole new beast.

well im suggesting to do a 1.5jz actually hehe i use your car project as an example :)

2jz bottm blocks are cheap and there is plenty out there. its just suprisingly easy comapred to going from a straight 2jzgte.... because you HAVE to factor in the wiring, the pans, the transmission though which are not cheap new and not easy to source =/
