sup everybody, i'm new to this site but from what i've read you all know your shit. so here's the thing, i've got a 89 turbo. i'm bout to put a 3" downpipe 3" test pipe and 3" cat back i/c hard pipes, hks ssqv bov and a blitz intake and probably shim the wastegate a lil to about 12 psi. I'm trying to get 300 to the wheels. A buddy of mine says it can't be done. My question is, is there anything else i can do to get the 300hp mark and prove my buddy wrong?

im with mdc either port the elbow or get a downpipe that has a elbow built in or buy an aftermarket elbow....

That should get you pretty close 300hp at the crank... ive seen most peoplee with that kinda setup around 270-290 but im not positive im not there yet but soon...

*edit* if you raise the boost to 12psi you most likely will hit fc usually people have the best luck around 10psi

you may also back out the screw on the afm to raise fc but i wouldnt do that unless you have a wideband

Get a Walbro fuel pump and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and bump the boost up to about 15-16psi. That should put you at 300 for sure.
Go ahead and back the screw out of the AFM housing. A wideband wouldn't hurt but its not needed.

307 rwhp with 3" defcon downpipe (integrated elbow)
custom hardpipes
10 psi
3" test pipe and cat back.

my car doesnt seem to be the norm though...

getting to 300 is easy look at strats post... with basic intake and exhaust u will be really close to that mark... shim the wastegate or get a mbc and set ur boost 1 psi below when ur car hits fuel cut... everyones is diff general rule is 10 psi and u wont hit fuel cut..

to get more hp there are many ways... lex afm route or the maft pro..

injectors, fpr, fuel pump, maybe upgrade the ct-26 to 57 or 60-1 trim
