ill go on a limb and say 8-10 lbs on day to day use. I ran a used turbo on 12lbs and its lasted.. less then 3 months, now its smoking like a mutha fuck and yeah... its not good.

Im assuming with my full 3" exhuast @ 12lbs im at like 250-275HP.. i hope :(

There's no good answer to this question.

It all depends on a crapload of other factors - what kind of oil you run, how hard you push your car, how often and for what duration you push it, how well you treat it afterwards, how often you change the oil, what kind of shape the rest of your engine is is, what kind of shape the turbo itself is in, what type of weather you drive in, how high above sea level you live, whether you have hardpipes and an aftermarket intercooler, what route the hardpipes take if you have them, how well your injectors flow, what shape your fuel pump is in...

I could go on for another page or so, but I think you may be getting the idea by now.

lol, you know... most Mark 3's live most of their life in the garage w/out a motor due to turbo failure, rod knock, bhg..kinda like an on going project..

that all being said, i run 15psi constantly through my stock turbo. i wouldnt push it past that, as the stock CT is relatively inefficient after that point, especially without a good intercooler. (read: you'll be blowing hot air)
