Just maintenence... this doesn't include mods... but if you blow up an engine or transmission every year, go ahead and include that :)

It seems that every year of driving for me = a year downtime with another few grand.

Now if I were to just drive it, I think it would be very good to me. My car has never broken down on me, never given me trouble. So, I voted 0-500$ because I usually spend like $200 on it for stuff like oil changes, spark plugs, other stuff like that. I bought tires last year, so it would have been more like $500

None! Thats the beauty of a car that doesn't run...yet! :evil2:

LOL! I'm with you there. I predict that next year will be a record year as far as no maintenance on the Supra. haha

option 1:
Only basic stuff after last year with the new motor. So for the last year ive only payed for a few misc. hoses that have went bad, heater blower, front brakes, and plenty of oil changes.

For the rest of this year i expect about the same, oil change everymonth or so, and eventually spark plugs and valve cover gaskets. Those damn K&N oil filters add up quick

jeez i feel special then.... so far i've spent about 6-7k fixing up my car in the last 4-5 months alone.

mind you i replaced everythig with the best, brand new high performance stuff.... but i've done an engine overhaul/rebuild with mhg/arps, tranny swap, 100% new suspension (nearly everything replaced), and about 1/2 of all components under hood replaced (alternator, a/c compressor, etc, etc, etc) and some restoration (new leather seats, other minor stuff)

i've owned this car for 12 yrs.... 6 of that it just sat... so 6 yrs driving and i've now replaced the engine 4x and the tranny 3x.... mind u i was wreckless in my youth.... so now that i'm all grown up and can pay for proper maintenence i hope this time it's bulletproof since i am sparing no expenses :icon_conf

i still have the body work to do restoration on, that's gonna be another 3-4k... and then hopefully i'm done :aigo:

Ok I lied.

Taking into account body work, I have spent a fair ammount, but then I do do it all myself (even paint) so it ends up not being TOO much...

just got my supra, so far, oil change, brakes all around, fixing the tail lights, and a coolant hose blowing = 345. Not encluding what i want to do, New diff gasket & new fluid to see if the diff still works, tune up, all new hoses, and a new rad. SO i'll be in it for another k or so.

between two of them, i've honestly lost count....judging by how much of my paycheck goes to them though, I'd say in the $6K range.
