Correct about the section. Thread moved.

bowtiebuba, not much. Original gasket with oem torque on it will more than likely blow up at stock boost levels, never mind the upgraded turbo.

If you torque it AND it survives, you can run something less than 20 psi... because that is where mine went south.

A friend of mine was running 15psi on a stock hg torqued to 75 pounds... It didnt last long... About 2 or 3 months... But he knew it would go and was prepared to replace it... So long as you're ready, boost up...

Now you're getting complicated. The stock ECU will cut at about 11-13psi, depending - every one appears to be somewhat different. There are various methods around this, the most common being the lexus AFM + 550cc injectors, and the most recent being the MAFT.

Stock injectors are good to over 400 rwhp.

Stock fuel system? Tough call... and I'm not exactly certain yet.

re torque it, keep detonation down and tune it well and it should be fine

lol im sure i will, is the boost cut the fuel cut or are they 2 totallty diffrent things
Hrm... I'm not entirely certain anymore. Once upon a time I was certain it was just ignition cut, but I've heard the ECU has an output to the fuel pump relay, so it could easily cut both at once...

If the ecu is cutting fuel, I very much doubt it would do it using the fuel pump relay. That would make it very easy to make a FCD. Also, the motor would run lean as the fuel pressure dropped away and then would slowly start to run again as the FP picked up. If it cuts fuel I am sure it does it by cutting the duty cycle.

Err... what I meant is that I'm pretty certain it cuts both fuel and spark. I'm absolutely certain that it cuts spark, and I'm pretty sure it cuts back fuel as well.

However, I'm perfectly willing to be proven wrong on either point.
