So I've been noticing this more and more as I've been poking around on different forums. On this forum...explanations and most times just regular discussion is VERY technical. You also see it hinted at sometimes and sometimes it's just thrown out there...that's right, that the person talking is an Engineer. so I was wondering, how many engineers are out there...this being current engineering students that are either a junior, senior or super senior! (in year 5) because lord knows TONS of people end up dropping out after their freshmen and sophomore year... and those that have graduated as engineers.

I'm a Computer Engineering super senior!! After this year I will finally be done, then it's off to the military for my mandatory 4-6 years then either stayin in or hopefully working for a company in the automotive industry.

I'm a Wood Scientist - B.S. and M.S. (no bs!), and work with engineered wood products as a technical service rep. I'm not sure that counts, but is probably one of the weirder technical degrees you'll find on this forum.

lol @ Joel.....

I was an engineer for much of my life before changing careers. My education is as an EE but I've work in other disciplines ie; mechancial and industrial. My current occupation is also a technical one so I guess I'm still an engineer at heart.

Engineering is a good profession. Beats wearing an orange vest and pickin' up junk off the highway ;)

Haha yeah...sorry, there are 6 main departments at my school (the ones listed) and every kind of engineering we have falls under one of those departments. So most likely structural falls under civil.
