I am really curious how many of you drive your Supras on a daily (and I mean everyday) basis?

Also, I'd like to know how many people have only the one car (Supra) and must depend on it totally? How modded is it?

I hear alot of people say that Supra's aren't reliable daily transportation and I disagree. I know cause I only have the Supra and it takes me wherever I gotta go and I have a lot of performance upgrades. Mine is reliable as a stone even with mods :biglaugh:

I used my 88t as a dd for almost 9 years and it never let me down. I now have a 90t, but I only use it fun, Atlanta traffic sucks ass and it would probably kill the supra.

Mine has been my only car for just over a year now. I even delivered pizza in it for a while(6 months, but it let me meet the cars 2nd owner and find out that I'm the 4th, original owner was a doctor who got every option, and the 3rd owner is the one that abused it).
I've put 22k on it since the BHG it had when I bought it.
So far it's only needed a new battery(it was a 5 yo battery, replaced with Optima red), new tires(almost time again, Fuzion ZRi, much nicer than expected, but then they are made by Bridgestone), and new hoses(accordian, turbo->IC, and several misc others + clamps, many many clamps). Mainly maintenance type stuff.
Not really modded yet, still working on the minor stuff, and she gets me to work and around town with very little trouble(only got stranded once, and I would have made it to the shop if I didn't back into the grass turning around after an almost overheat).

i'm slowly learning that the car has a mind of it's own....If you treat it good, it'll treat you good. if you treat it bad, it'll treat you bad. If you say your sorry and make up it'll run like a champ, but if you ignore it you'll have hell on wheels.

i don't know if that applies to the non-dd's, but I know it applies to me. Having an N/A helps a bit too...

My Supra is my first and only car. Mods are in my profile. It has been down for extended periods of time but that was usually because I did something stupid. Its been a great DD, I can't imagine driving anything else for as long as I have driven the Supra.

Daily driver here for the most part.

If its raining, I leave it in the garage. The only reason it is a daily driver is because it is much more fun to drive then my 91 Ford Explorer with 190,000 miles and a leaky sunroof.

it's my DD. Im 17 still in high school with the fastest car in my parking lot (that includes teachers too hahah). You just gotta keep posting on here and figure out whats wrong and if peeps can help you. If something's wrong. double check everything. if it happens again, then you sure as hell gotta be prepared for the worst. And this is my only car up until the winter. when winter hits, its gonna be bus every morning :(. hmm maybe if my bro gets a car it'll be a winter one :D

my 89 is my daily driver... and also my only car... it's a bitch to rely on... I've put maybe 3500 miles on it since jan 31st... so it's not very reliable... but I'm hopin that it is when all is said and done...

mine is a daily driver, its pretty modded and I run it hard on the weekends. I also have a 2005 nissan titan crew cab, but I drive the supra unless I need to haul something. (Truck only has 2500 miles on it, had it for 4 months) The supra has never left me stranded, not once.

My Supra is my only car and I drive it every single day. It has never once stranded me in the more than 4 years that I've owned. It is a stock '88 N/A.

I wish I could say the same as all of you that have never had problems with your supras but mine has left me on the side of the road to many times to count... but I still love the car and out of the year that I've owne my 89 I've only been able to put 3500 miles on it... and the same went with my 87... but I did put a few more miles on the 87...

My car was my DD, I never had a problem with it. Then I blew up the turbo, and right up until it spun a bearing I had no problems with it. It wasn't too modded, just a lil bit.

91 t .daily driver minor mods. bought it with 84k on the ticker2 yrs ago and it now has 99k on it.only left me on the side of the road once and thats due to the BHG(imagine that) when it blew a coolant hose.other than that its been a GREAT car.the short mod list includes, new o.e.m. head gasket w/ arp's @ 74 lb/ft,full port matched head to manifolds, full race grind on valves, polished stock exhaust manif, 3" DP,shimmed WG to 9 PSI, cone filt adapt,type-s BOV and other non-performance mods..im convinced ill NEVER NOT own a supra for the rest of my life be it mkiii or the infamous/ illustrious mkiv. sorry to hear about the troublesome ones.
