I drove 3 hours today from the west coast of florida to the east coast and picked up projectsupra1's custom vented hood which had been in a lil bit of an accident but hey it was free and very much worth the 150 bucks in gas and food. if you havnt figured out what hood it is then heres a pic of it on his car when it was first done.

its beat up yea its not his fault it was a free hood the rain will not own me the last couple vents have a fiberglass catch made for it thats riveted to the hood so no water gets on the motor or in the spark plug gally the only thing under that vent is a radatior and a plastic fan shroud.

cant drive my car in the rain anyways targa seals leak :(

oh and the stickers gone we peeled it off you can see it in the last pic.

im gonna take it and my stock mint hood down to a friends bodyshop and ask him how much it would cost to repair the original hood and how much it would cost to cut the vents out and put them in my stock hood and ill prolly do whatever the best route is.

Hood looks like he had an enemy. What the hell happened to it? Doesn't look like your average auto acident damage.

Anyway, I drove 10 hours round trip from Mobile, Al to the Atlanta, Ga area to get my JDM block. I got the motor as just the block and head (with new head gasket) for $250. Great deal! Then I had to finish assembly, but here's a pic after install..........

I know, it's very dirty now! And, no, that's not signs of BHG at the radiator. I also made the same trip to buy a 240sx from the guy I got my motor from. So, 2 - 10 hour trips for me. A nice $600 240 on the second trip.

he hit 1 of those huge like apartment complex po box mail boxes that are all metal and have like the 90 small boxes in them that you open with a key and it came down on the hood you can see the outline of the mailbox and the 4 corners (the 4 dents repersent those)

I drove to MD to pick up a parts car.
One day trip, left here at 5am, got home at 2am
$300 for the car, $150 spent on diesel.
Not a bad deal as far as I'm concerned.

the pearl white on those parts is nice! i wonder what it is.....
The car was white with blue pearl, and blue moldings, but as you can see in the sig......red now. Too bad he couldnt sell the car and had to part it out.
