How do I know if I'm at TDC

Hi guys, in order to get your #1 piston at TDC you have the match up the notch on the crank pulley with which one of the marks on the timing belt cover? I have it currently pointed at "0" and the cam notches pointed at the notches on the plate behind the gears. also, how would i go about in setting the ignition timing? THanks in advance!

so how do i exactly do that last step? how do i set it to 10 degrees? i got everything but that. do i need a timing light for that?

yes, it will start anywhere in that ballpark, then adjust it.
