i took a n/a gauge cluster and carefull removed the volt meter then took a circle saw and cut out whe plastic backing and put in my autometer boost gauge.

the gauge model is a pro comp utra light.it only has 2 wires coming out a white and a black.
now how do i wire it up? whats really confusing me is the green circuit board thing*. what do i do with it? do i cut off that section?? or do i just tape that flap somewhere??

It also doesn't help when your trying to mount that gage and think you can use the hook ups from the stock unit.

You need to run seperate ground, power and a vacum line to that gage.

Download the install guide and do it their way ^^

+1 You can have it in the cluster but i think you are going to have to or at least be better off doing it there way.

IM IN FOR THIS ALSO.... I want to Put an aftermarket boost gauge in the stock boost gauge location as well.. I dont think you cut the circuit board, as it might damage the rest of the clusters functionality. But i would like to see how some of you fabbed up a bracket or housing type of material to fill the extra space..

did your original gauge not work? b/c it doesnt fit with the rest of the cluster... looks kinda silly... but as i see on here a lot "to each his own"

1. why would you cut up your cluster without knowing how to install it first?
2. if you follow the "paths" on the circuit "board" you should be able to see where they lead to and if if will affect other cluster functions...
i wouldnt cut it up.... but then again i wouldnt have changed the stock gauge either..
