Well i was just wonderind how crtical it is when you are making sure timing is set up before you put the belt on.
I got #1 at TDC well pretty sure it is the piston is all the way up and looks like the mark is lined up with 0.
But im still worried it may be a few mm to the left or right.
I know its dumb but does it really matter ijust never thought about it with previous build ups till now. and the same goes for the timing gears.
I am pretty sure it is perfectly lined up ( nothces with notches on rear cover. but i just dont want to be off a tooth.

Maybe im thinking to far into. but this is really the first time I ever noticed that.

Put the belt on, turn the motor over by hand until you go back to TDC, see if the cams are lined up, if so you are good, if not adjust and repeat. But you should be good.

BTW, these are noninvasive engines, so even if you're 180* off (you're not), putting the belt on and turning it over by hand will not hurt anything.
