Hey asses, the database has been wiped recently. Telling people to search doesn't exactly get them answers here.

I'm interested in this as well. if anyone has info cause my nittos aren't cutting it. wondering if i would be able to fit a 255/50 R16 mickeythompson drag radial on the stock rims or go with a different rim and tire with a different offset.

Or if there is a true drag tire that can fit on the stocker?

Can we fit 15 inch rins on the back of the supra? will they clear the rear breaks?

Kikdurazz, I run a 26X9X16 M/T drag radial... They fit nicely on my old set of sawblades... Balloon a little, but look/fit great...

So that would be equivilent to about a 245 wide?

I only use the tires at the track so almost leaning towards a slick but not sure if it will fit our rims or if a 15 would work on our rear ends.

Don't mean to hijack udr8ded but were both looking for the same thing and I searched and could not find anything in the faq's. No point in making 2 threads.

Yeah, it's a little wider than a 245, but sticks like a crazy glue! I run mine at about 12psi and can pull 1.8s all day... *And I am still learning how to lauch a 5 sp* Im sure I could pull faster 60 foots, but that comes with practice... Its a great tire... If you go with a M/T d/r make sure you get the Sportman PROs... They're the best... And a 26" in a 16" rim will give you enough wrinkle wall... Good luck...

It also depends on what rims and what suspension. and if u mind them sticking out a bit u can run alot bigger.

why not run E/T streets?

If it's going to be strictly for drag racing anyway, why not go all the way. Most people don't run E/T streets as a daily tire unless they want to replace them often and have never heard of rain. :icon_bigg

hmm..ok, 9 inches of tread doesnt seem like much..the 26 diameter would be good for the gearing but i had 295-50-15's (27.0 diameter x 11.5 tread) on my firebird and had trouble with traction and i had hoosier QTP :aigo:

Yeah 15's fit, barely. I am also trying to find a pair of 15's for drag radials but I'm having a hell of a time finding them with the proper backspacing. My 17x8" wheels have 6" backspacing, and the only 15x8" steel cheepies I could find with the 5x114.5 bolt pattern had 4" backspacing, which would stick each wheel out 2" further. If anyone finds any that will work, PLEASE let us know!!

P.S. - I tried a stock 93 MR2 15" alum. wheel on my car and it cleared. I don't know if a steel wheel will fit or not. I would imagine that it should, but I'm not 100% sure.

Im running a 275/40/17 Nitto 555r drag radial on a 17x10 wheel with +35 offset. It hooks up great and has performed very well on the street, I got a lot of miles on them. I think at least 15k miles.
