^^ +1. I wouldn't feel safe using a hose barb on a part that--if it fails--would turn your engine into toast ;)

there rated for hydralics which run at higher pressures though. the only thing about an oil cooler setup that really expensive is these damn hoses barb fittings. 12.99 each!:aigo:

I doubt those fittings will fail, they'll probably hold up the entire life of your motor. Just make sure to either use brand new rubber hoses or best if you just use silicone braided hoses on it.

you can find the same thing at Lowes or Home Depot. that's what i used and no problems so far. only that happen is a i had a clamp fail on the pressure side that dumped about all my oil. a good hose barb will do you no good if you have cheap hose clamps.
