Soooo, you undid the old steering wheel, and the wiring wasnt there? Im not understanding how you couldnt find the wiring. it should have been right there. lol

And with a quick release, I dont believe you can have a horn on the steering wheel, because then the wiring would hold it to the steering colum.

any good quick release should have contacts that complete the circuit whenever the wheel is inserted. it should work fine provided you can find the one wire for the horn trigger (as i recall, on toyotas of this vintage but not specifically on my supra...yet) the horn has a single wire trigger that activates the horn when grounded to the steering column/chassis ground.

the yellow wire is for the airbag, and i have a prong with multiple wires on it that plugs into the stock steering wheel. im guessing the horn wire is in there. im just wondering what color the horn wire is.

what i did on mine is just wire up a whole new horn. just go to autozone or advanced autoparts and buy a universal horn. run the wiring thru the fire wall to inside your cabin area and use a push button to activate the horn. it was cheap easy and when installed properly really clean looking inside the cabin area. thats just my 2 cents

^Kinda defeats the purpose almost of having the button.

I could see it working with a quick release kinda how you dont have a wire wrapping around the column like stock but idk for sure.

The horn wire is blue-red on most cars, but I'm not sure about 90+ with air bag. Grounding it sounds the horn. I can't imagine how wiring a new horn in could be easier than tapping into the existing wire, but to each his own I guess.

The MOMO hub I have has a contact surface for the horn circuit, its copper I believe. It is as the base of the hub facing the front of the car, I had to make a small tab and mount it utilizing one of the misc unused screws for the round slider since it was gone there were a few places to mount it. The tab contacts the surface on the hub and the wire from the harness for the horn. From there a pig tail with a spade connector built in to the hub connects to the button and the button grounds to the wheel-hub-steering column-body.
