Those are pretty good #'s. I had a question dealing with compresson...

Can you compression test a motor out of the car by turning the crank with a socket and rachet?

Im still trying to learn all this MHG size and all. BLAHHH.

Search is a B**** when the results are almost from every post in the entire forum ahha
Stock HG compresses to 1.37mm so the 1.4mm is the closet until you decak the block and surface the head then you add the removed amount to 1.37mm to keep you at or around stock comp.

Wouldn't these #'s be of concern if you were to run 18psi on pump gas? Of course with supporting mods.. I was curious. I just completed a build and wanted to run 18psi so I used a 2mm TMS HG to keep stock compression. 150 -160 in my cylinders. I was a little dissapointed there were almost 10lbs different.

Thank you. Can you correct me if I am wrong?

If I get a bigger HG like 2mm or how ever bigger I can go I will drop compression on a block that did not need a head resurface right? From this low compression you can run more boost?

I will be buying ARP headstuds and HKS MHG so I've been searching all day. Your post sum up 80% of what I needed to know.

Was the comp. test done warm, with the efi fuse pulled, and the throttle blocked open? you will get bigger number spraying fuel.
