Ok, so I bought a Supra with some goodies on it but it had a hole in the roof. Now, it was a powered Sunroof that did not work properly. That was taken out and I wanted just a simple pop up.
I bought one on Ebay but it was too small, and the other size the person has is to big.
That is the hole in the roof. Suggestions? I am planning a 1JZ swap and this will be last but if I can fix it now, that will be one problem gone.
Welding it back to a hardtop is a option but only when I finish the swap. A mechanic told me I can go to a glass place and get a guy to measure the whole and put plexi glass that is tinted with seals and just have that and nothing functional. Basically, a window on the roof.
What do you guys think? Help me. I am currently waiting on a guy with a 1JZ for sale. He wants $1,650 with no ECU and I am trying to get him down to $1,000, he said he "will think about it," since the engine is in storage.
Are 1JZ's ECU's are hard to find?
