top left piece attaches direct to the intercooler, top right to the 3000 pipe, middle left is the upper fender piece, middle right is the lower fender piece, and the little stubby connects to the #1 directly off the turbo
I can't say for sure but I would speculate that its because he has the bigger PS cooler found on the "newer" cars. As you can see the kit was designed for an 87 with the small PS cooler.
I removed mine PS cooling lines from the front because they interferred with the piping. Haven't suffered any side effects from it and it's been like that for quite a few miles now.
And thats the same thing I did, got a shorter hose to go directly to the return on the PS.
90ish to 92 got a real PS cooler, not just some hard lines. Well they don't fit with the HKS intercooler at all, so unfortunately I had to remove them. Been running this way for 3.5 years with no ill effects.
I have the HKS intercooler, and run a small motorcycle cooler (~9"x3")attached on a bracket in between the radiator and IC. That's it right under the horn.
