What the highest horsepower achieved with a 7MGE. Preferrably dyno proven and engine only. I'm wanting to build another GE since I bought another Supra and already have a GTE engine.
Good luck, I did mine and with a lot of money, you have to have a plan and be happy with what you got. Click on my signature and read the list, it's quite long. 215 and 207 at the rear wheels

I'm telling you AJ... those 550's have got to go... Then there are the wiring changes, but we'll cover that separately. ;)

Just want to make sure I have my information right, You don't want 550's on a 200ish HP car because it's not spraying optimally, correct? So you'd want closer to what the stock turbo injectors are so that they're running closer to 100% and spraying a full pattern? Sorry if that doesn't make sense or is inaccurate, I'm new to fuel injection and just want to know what would be best.

I come from a land down under
Injector duty cycle should never exceed 85%.

Good quality unjectors at the correct base pressure don't have too many problems at low duty but often to get big injectors working with bandaid electronics people turn the base pressure down.

Wouldn't that affect how a large injector sprays? Thanks for the information about 85% duty cycle, good to know.

P.S. sorry for hijack

Yeah, yeah. Got some 440's laying around :)?

Woah, what wiring changes? Damn CRE, you just like making me squirm:biglaugh:

Murd: I still have my pressure set at factory pressure for the 550's but you definatly have to have a way to pull fuel I.E. Maft-Pro. Like IJ said most will band-aid and reduce pressure to make them work, problem is they won't spray, they drool if you drop below a certain amount, not sure what that pressure is for the RC's.

Hehe.... talk about a thread hijack. :icon_razz

Alex, remind me what pressure you're running? I wouldn't run less than mid 30's with most injectors... but I don't know as much as IJ. ;)

Personally, for a 200 to 250 RWHP car I wouldn't expect to run anything bigger than ~360. 440's would be a step in the right direction, but I'd get them cleaned and flow tested first... hell I've got three full sets here. Hey Alex, you pay send all four sets in for cleaning and testing and I'll give you a matched set to run. :naughty:

And YES, wiring changes... and YES, I DO like to watch you squirm! :evil2:

38 lbs CRE.

You know I have been tuning this beast, and I expect next dyno numbers to be around 300, and when I get my intercooler mounted, not hooked up just mounted, it ought to be around 350:icon_razz Wanted to stay on topic;)

so why is the 7m ge soo weak? i thought that it had alot of torque? i also have a 95 talon tsi awd turbo. i have an evo 16g fmic and 1150cc injectors and im putting down 412hp and 318 tq on 18 psi. my supra is fast but it doesnt have near as much power as the 4g63 4 banger. does the turbo make that huge of a difference?

Newer cars are a little more advanced, and you're compairing a turbo to a non-turbo.

Why do four cylinders need huge injectors for low (by comparison) power levels?

Hey AJ! I'll trade you my 440s for those 550s :naughty:

Ummm cos they only have 4 of em ;)

4 x 1000cc = 4000cc total
6 x 1000cc = 6000cc total

add in 12 parts air light it off and 6000cc BOOM is always going to be bigger ;)

To get the same BOOM in a 4cyl you'd need 4 x 1500cc.
