if there is 229k miles on the engine i would get a jdm motot and slap a mhg into that... thats alot of miles on a car and if you start raising the boost you may be asking for trouble... this is just my opionion

umm, sounds like a bit too much for that kind of mileage... my supra had 199,000 when i bought it, and it was $1,200 (it didn't even start when I came to look at it)

as far as the BHG, because it has so many miles, it would probably be best to pull the motor and rebuild w/MHG and ARPs...

Its up to you as far as the price, it seems high to me...with that many miles I would rebuild or replace the motor. If it is still being run with the BHG then coolant is running through the cylinders...this leads to scoring of the cylinder walls, wear on piston rings, and wear to rod bearings. Your best bet is to look for another car or talk the price down on this one, If you can do the motor work yourself you will save alot of money.

I wouldnt buy it.$2500 or 2k is too high.I wouldnt get it unless it could get it for $1500 or less. The way i see it, im not gonna be doin the work myself, so the price adds up quick.220xxx miles is awfly high, and would prolly require a new motor whether its rebuilt or jdm or junkyard.

I spent $1,400+ on motor +misc. parts, and $500 for total labor. I spent $1500 for my car with a motor with 80k less miles without a turbo and it didnt last very long. Goodluck on whatever u decide to do.
