i did a compresion test today, i got in between 180 and 190 on all cylinders.i did it without turning of the fuel so i was thinking maybe this is why the numbers are so high. the engine only has 30 to 40 k on it. when i was putting the mhg on the rings looked fine and the cylinder walls were not scared. any ideas why the numbers are so high?

When you did the HG did you clean out any carbon buildup? If the car was still pumping in fuel that'd probably account for a fair amount of the increase, how much I don't know. Do you know how much material of the head and block was shaved off?

i saw the cylinder walls 1k ago, i wiped one with my finger and all the stuff came off. so there wasnt much build up at all. i am starting to think they took alot more off my head then they told me.
