Hi y'all, my names Dylan, and as you can tell from my username and where im from supras are a whole different can of worms for me. Im not new to cars, hell i helped a friend of mine put a Chevy 350 in his 87 Rx-7, that was a good time. But i just picked up an 1987 Supra N/A, got it from a guy who had a new tranny put in, got a donor motor with only 95k on it and basically told his shop to put in every new seal and gasket that they can for the car. It has some wiring gremlins and needs a new tie rod, but i do have the receipts in hand from the shop that did the work, and everything seems to be legit. Like i said, there are some wiring problems, but im going over it all with a fine tooth comb, a soldering iron and a nice size roll of shrink tube.
Ive been ghosting the site since i bought the car, there is tons of info on here and I've solved 99% of the little problems with the car already. other than the wiring it had a miss, solved that by pullin the plugs and wires, found antifreeze everywhere from when the idiot did the heater bypass, cleared it right up. currently trying to track down the reason why it idles oddly, im assuming its the idle control system, the tps is set correctly as shown in the TSRM and works fine, so im assuming its the valve, im gonna get in there and clean it up tomorrow.
anyway, hopefully i dont pull too many of the assholish crap that some of the new guys do, ive been on forums for a few years so i know what the SEARCH function is... HAHA
