Hey guys I caught my 90 gte at the yet of bhg and quit driving it right away. Never overheated. Anyway I ordered OEM hg set from my buddy Toyota Todd at Warsaw Toyota. Took the head to machine shop and they called and said it was warped 5 thousands. Soni had it machined and pressure tested and vac checked along with new
Valve stem seals installed. My ? Is on a stock engine and stock turbo am I alright to put the standard thickness hg from my OEM set on the since around 5 thousands was machines off?

Yes it will be fine, not even close to causing a problem. Are you using ARP studs?

Yeah. Only thing left is getting some exhaust manifold studs to replace broken ones and put her all back together

Before you put this together, I suggest drilling/tapping/helicoiling the exhaust studs. http://store.driftmotion.com/static/i-716exhauststudkit.php

What are plans for the engine

Leaving mostly stock besides intake and exhaust for now. Wheels and tires later. It's a very clean rust free low miles survivor and I wanna keep it that way
