Ok heres what im looking at buying:

Brake Pads, Catch Can , and oil cooler.

First of all what brake pads do you guys suggest that are RESONABLY priced. They will be fitted with powerslot rotors.

Next i was looking at a catch can by greedy. I then proceeded to look on hpf for reference and i noticed theres several different models, that are different shapes and such. Which one would work best for me. Also it has t-bracket fitting listed for installation, do i need that as well?

Lastly i would like to buy an oil cooler, but i have no idea what to look for. There are so many different sizes and such i dont know what to look for. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

brake pads-

i like porterfield and ebc reds. not too spendy, low dust, good life, good braking, not too noisy.

catch can-

they are really all about the same. only different ones are some of the more expensive ones that are baffled and filtered. something like the greddy is just a more expensive version of the ebay ones for $40.

oil cooler- i like b&m stuff. how do you plan on setting it up?

brake pads what he said. I have generic metalic pads on mine from a local auto parts store.

catch can.
First get the dimensions and figure out where you would mount it.

Summit racing is where i got my oil cooler they have a plethora of different sizes and shapes that you can choose from to match your needs.

EBC greens would probably be a better choice. They bite well at a lower temperature range so you still get good daily response from it but also do well at the track and such.

Thanks Dave and Jebus.

I was leaning towards the ebc reds as there a little cheaper. Then again i think about how much hp i will be hopefully producing and then i lean towards the porterfields.

As far as mounting the catch can i seen someones setup and it was by their charcol canister. I like the way it looked and i believe i would like to try to mount in the same way.

Oil cooler i dont know how it will be run. I do know what i want from it. I would like it to be superior to the stock system, that works with temp. instead of pressure. And keep in mind this on a ge-t and not a gte, so i didnt have one to begin with.

the greens arent bad. just dont bite quite as hard as the new reds. repeated heavy braking the greens have a bit more fade. the greens are a little easier on the rotors tho, but a little more dusty.

aaron- the only problem being in place of the charcoal canister is the heat. it doesnt condense as well there after it gets warm. its better to mount it in a cooler location if possible.

for the oil cooler sounds like you just need the cooler and the temp thermostat.

this would be good for the cooler itself-

like i said, i prefer the b&m stuff. its really tough and doesnt have bendable fins. you can take a rock and it wont damage it.

I love hawks. HPS's have never done me wrong.

B&M makes great oil coolers as well.

And i just happen to carry all of it ;)

Brakes.. I purchased Powerslots and they recomended the axxis/PBR metal master pads. I beleive they said not to use any type of ceramics.. I was trying to find the email they sent me. I did post it in this forum somewhere. I will try to find it..

Catch can should be mounted in a cooler spot not where the charcoal can is.

Here's is the post I mentioned! http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36006&highlight=brake+pads

Catch can: Fuzz, I have the genuine GReddy catch can, it's not worth the money. I have the smaller version one, I had and still do have the larger version of it, except it's made by OBX, same damn thing. You can't open up the larger version of it without cutting it. The smaller one though, is held on by screws and a gasket. They are both UNBAFFLED. What I did was take a sheet of AL, cut it to fit on the inside, upper portion of the catch can when closed (shaped the same as the top part for a good seal), JB welded the sides of it to the can for a solid piece, bought some SS wool from Wal-Mart, packed the outlet side with it so the vapor has very little chance of exiting the can without condensing. The sheet of AL only goes half way down the can, it does it's job. It's small, so it can be fitted into tight places (mine's actually mounted where the stock coolant resivoir would be at using a thick (1/8" aprox) flat bar of AL drilled out and mounted to the can, and a stock bolt location.

Buy the ebay copycat version of this and do something similar to it like I have done, just make sure you include the PCV port on the TB into the plumbing or you risk blowing seals.

Thanks for the input starscream :)

NP ;). If you lived closer, I'd just give you the big one I have, but like I said, you have to cut it open to baffle it, then reweld it shut, or think of a way to make it where you can take the top on and off and still have a perfect seal...
