Hey, New Member - Ideas for 7MGTE?

Well this is my first post here.

I bought an '87 Supra Turbo - Auto - around a year ago. Just got some new paint (original burgundy + 10.8g of silver flake metallic)...

Probably can't tell, but it actually looks pretty nice (excuse the camera phone pic...)

Well I plan on doing great things with it. Now that it looks nice, was thinking either a TT setup, a 2JZ swap, or anything in between... Bottom line is I want it to be fast.

id LOVE to see some upclose pictures of that flake. i want to do that with my car but i dont think it will turn out very good because ill be painting it white :-\

Welcome to the forums. There are hundreds of people on here with your same ambition. Check out the Build-up threads and see the route others have taken. Hope you have a lot of time, money, and someone who can tune because you'll need it all. Good luck!

Car looks great.

You say you, bottom line, you want it to be fast.

Fast spooling? Fast acceleration? Fast top end?

You say you would like to go with a twin turbo setup.

Doing so because you want quick spool or....."just to do it"?
If you want quick spool and want to cut down A LOT on money, just get a medium frame ball bearing turbo that will be plenty spool happy for you and put out some good numbers.

Good luck and don't let anyone ever tell you the 7M isn't capable.......

Jeff is right, don't EVER let anyone tell you the 7m is not a capable motor!
