Hey every 1 im a noob to this site, I've been trying a my supra for about 3-4 months it a N/A so im looking for more power I was thinking about doing a 7mgte swap but i rather go alittle more JDM and go with the 1jz. What is the average price for a 1jz swap say if I was to buy the engine from a shop and let them do it? or how much will it be I already have the engine and want them to drop it in?
Thanks,T

It's costing me about $4500. It can be done for cheaper if you don't have to pay for shipping a clip/motorset and extend the harness yourself.

Edit: It can also cost a lot more.

I'm aiming for $5k total...if I come in under budget great...but I'd like to do some "Might as Wells" like upgraded clutch and flywheel while I'm doing the swap. Plus be prepared for any unforseen costs.

Mine was 3500...the engine tranny ecu and harness was a lil under 2500 shipped...I had a buddy do the swap at his place due to lack of my own time...the guy swapped it for a lil under 800...approx 25 hrs @ $35/hr plus a lil extra cuz it was a side job...his shop wanted over 1500 for the same thing...the rest of the money went to intake and exhaust a tune up water pump timing belt serp belt and oil chang...royal purple with a k&n oil filter...I would do the clutch first though...I didn't...now I need a clutch and I'm having a hard time finding one

I got full front clip from Jarco for about $3k. Got it all installed and hooked up for another 2g's but I got some extra goodies on top of that (like a FMIC and upgraded turbo)

With materials and fluids and shit and doing it yourself. Plan on about $4k. If you do BPU right off the bat while putting it in. Maybe about $5k

prices vary man. Depends on where you get the engine from who who does the install.
Getting a Supra front clip pretty much covers most of the swap part, but then you have have to either swap cross members or get the swap mounting brackets if you are using an earlier model Supra.
Speed cable and power steering hoses need to be sourced too.

I can't say too much since I picked up my 92 with a 1jz already installed for $5000 since the owner could not get it to run.. :)
