Yes I Own an MGB
Guest
Hey guys
My name is Zack, from Lafayette, LA, and this past week I just picked up a 1987 Toyota Supra Turbo
Recent Japanese sports cars are something a bit new to me, but I've been into foreign cars in general for the past few years. In addition to the new Supra and an a 1990 Nissan 300ZX I recently purchased, I also own 5 MGB's, which are British sports cars.
As for this Supra, it seems like not a bad deal. It has a rebuilt motor, head, LSD rear end, and turbo, and needs a little bit of work, but that is fine with me. Seems to be missing the exhaust system from the turbo on back, radiator, and a Mass Air Flow sensor. Also the A/C compressor has been removed. The previous owner has also already replaced the clutch, and although right now the interior is disassembled, he will put it all back together before I take possession. I was leery of all the work, but I got reciepts for everything, so it definitely makes me feel better about it.
The body needs paint and some trim pieces, but no rust was found anywhere in the car, which I thought was great as well.
I paid very little for this car actually, as I traded the owner a clean 1986 300ZX I received as a trade for a Datsun 2.8 Turbo inline 6 and tranny and harness. So basically I got this car for about $375.
Based on the really nice car I have to start with here, I am contemplating entering it into the Grassroots Motorsports $2007 Challenge. It is a 3 part competition put on by Grassroots Motorsports Magazine based on drag performance, autoX performance, and judging on the overall quality of the car itself. The kicker is that the car has to be ready to go for under $2007.
Am I crazy for considering this? LOL
Here are a few low quality camera phone images of the car, along with my 300ZX and a Camaro Z-28 I am selling.

Thanks for having a very useful forum, and I hope to become a contributing member as time goes on!
