Hey guys I'm pretty into Toyota's I own and DD a 87 mr2 and have been a member of mr2oc for quite a while.
Heres a pic from a recent toyota meet in my area
Ive always been into the mk3 supra for its sleek sharp looks and its legendary status of just being a Supra.
Its a 1990 all stock, one owner car with 166,000 on the engine.
So i took it for its first ride today and it was great not as fast as i expected stock but it has some minors things to take care of.
If you guys could help me out with some questions i have also that would be great!
First off things it needs.
-I know it needs an exhaust manifold gasket cause i can hear/feel it leaking by the last cylinder does toyota still carry the gasket or should i buy from advance auto parts, driftmotion, etc?
-It has a leaky valve cover and the spark plug valley is oil soaked too. Ive read into it a little bit something about a no. 3 cylinder plug? Would it be recommended if advance auto or anyone auto parts place does sell a whole gasket set to just buy that and use everything that is needed?
-The car also needs a clutch and i plan on in the future to add some basic modifications so im trying to plan ahead with the clutch. ive read into it a little bit and heard some mentions about the spec brand and seen the prices are around 400-550 for a stage 1-3. Im just wondering what is recommended for a clutch?
