New to the site. I own a naturally aspirated 87 Supra. Trying to work some bugs out of it. The previous owners were morons so I'm having to "unrig" a lot of stuff. I do already know about the TSRM though so you impulsive responders don't have to say it, LOL. JK.

I just corrected the idle today. The previous owner had advanced it as much as possible because of some problem it has. I set it back to stock which is 10* before TDC and it idled and drove great. However if you try to give it more than an inch of throttle it bogs and the rpm's it gains with your foot in the throttle do nothing to actually increase the speed of the car. It's actually like there is no fuel at all when you floor it. It also won't rev past about 3,000rpm like this unless your barely giving it gas.

It does have some codes. I haven't rechecked them since altering the timing. I had 4 actually.
I had a code 51.
Another code for bad TPS or incomplete circuit to TPS.
Another for bad knock sensor or incomplete circuit to knock sensor.
The last is a no speed signal which is because the speedo doesn't work. I was told the speedo cable was broken but I don't know how to check it and I'm doing just fine without it so far, LOL!:1zhelp:
