Hey! 1989 Supra Turbo

Hey guys, I have a 1989 supra 5 speed. Brown interior...and im completely losing hope in her. Its been in the shop for 3 months and its comming out tomorrow...not running. It has a brand new rebuilt motor, but it was half put together, so I sent it to one of the best known supra mechanics in town, and they have tried 5 different ECU's and 3 different mass air flow sensors and managed to get it to run, but it runs like "S%$!" I really wish I could make her run, but she just doesnt want to...im trying not to lose hope but its quickly fading away. But anyways this is my 3rd supra all MKIII. I really love them. They are really cool cars. This is my first turbo car, so thats pretty good I guess haha. Anyways wish me luck with my build. Ill post it in the build section here in a couple minutes

Welcome. Hopefully your luck turns around.

I doubt after trying that many of each that it's the ECU or the AFM. What are the symptoms?

This is what he has told me. The car will idle and revv, but not well. He told me he wouldnt drive it around. I asked him to drive it down the street for me. He told me he would then called back and told me that it ran like shit and it built maybe 1lb of boost and when he got it back to the garage it wouldnt start again and left it at "im gonna keep digging around" and I told him if it was going to cost any more then I just wanted to pick it up, so im going to pick it up tomorrow. I just dont know what to think. I have heard from others to check the TPS so I guess im going to go from there. I really dont know what to do. They are so knowleged in supras its not even funny, and they have no idea whats wrong with it. Its making me angry becuase I respect their oppinions and they are telling me to get rid of it and sell it and all of that jazz. I dont know what I want to do. I know I want to get it running and make it work, but I dont think thats going to be happening. Im just upset I guess...a lot of a let down, ive bought many parts for it while its been in the shop for 3 months and now I wont be able to use them. I think if it doesnt work out Ill just try to sell it and see what I can get for it and buy another one. I dont know. Why call it a project if I dont want to keep working on it? SO MANY THINGS ARE GOING THROUGH MY MIND

Oh and to add, the reason they tried so many is becuase it kept throwing a Mass Air code and they couldnt get it to go away, but I guess it finally went away? I really dont know haha. I guess I will see tomorrow when I go to pick it up.
