Hesitation at 2.5k rpm

just as the title says power drops off noticably until I hit about 3k rpm and it starts pulling hard again all the way up without a problem. Mods are...3" exhaust (stock elbow), cone filter, and BOV. I replaced plugs, wires, vac hoses, set TPS, checked intercooler connections and retightened. All of these things made a big diff but it still has that hesitation. Any ideas?

Sure, sounds like you could use some tune up parts. Factory stock is the best.

You could try cleaning out your ISC that can sometimes cause hesitation

When was the last time you replaced the spark plugs and wires?

the ISC is only functional at idle. it shouldnt cause problems other than when the car is idling.

i'd check your plugs, and wires. (if you're N/A, change the cap and rotor, too)
