I just recently did my 1J swap and blew my TPS a few days after I bought one off a running 1 J and now I cant rev past 2000 rpm I have no codes and I dont even think I even set the sensor right isnt it suppose to go in the same direction as the throttle fork?

Probably Idl circuit. Sometimes the jz tps have the wires reversed. I think it's a year/model thing and I've seen it a lot between 1j/2j. Did you buy a 2j tps? If so it's an easy fix with a wire pick.

verify circuits mkay?

found the problem apparently my tps and few others out there are reversed. As mine goes counter clockwise and the traction controlled model came clockwise im trying to see if I find another one or order through toyota. Its hilarious the honda guys around the way thought i was putting in a 2-step

I am having the same problem. My Apexi AVC shows the throttle position correctly though. I called Aaron at Driftomotion, he said the correct part number is 89452-22080. I have 89452-30150. Does anyone know if it can be rewired, or do I need to get a new TPS?

I just got a new TPS, Autozone did not have the toyota part, but they had a Duralast one with a 2 year warranty for $92. part number is TPS481 if anyone is interested.
it works great now, I just have to replace my radiator now, the fan hit the shroud and threw a piece into the radiator.
