I am wondering about the disc (2pics) I found just laying in the engine compartment near the driver's side. It has a rubber diaphram and some oily/carbon coating and is about 1 1/2" in Dia. There is a slight possibility that it is from another car. I also included another pic that shows not one but two mystery connectors. Maybe they are just for something extra that this car doesn't have?

the diaphram is from an isc... most likely an old one that has been replaced now. I dont know about the connectors, but most likely just for some object that your car didnt come with from the factory.

Redacted per Title 18 USC Section 798
As 88 pointed out, the disc is the ISC check valve. They tend to fall out and get missed when the ISCV is removed so you'd better check and make sure there's one still in there. Sorry, can't help with the connectors.

Those connectors are to the auto tranny. Was it a swap to a manual? and the other thing is the check it valve for the isc they are only in the turbo'd supras to keep the boosted air in the intake and not recycling

Thanx for the pic-it helps a lot. I just don't find the wires that come from the tranny. Maybe whoever made this thing into a basket case took them off! What year is your car?
