Help with boost gauge.

before i got the car to a mechanic, the boost gause wasnt working. The turbo spun and you cou8ld hear it but the gauge wasnt working. Anyone know what can the cause be? i will have the car back this thursday with an entirely new brake system (yes ebrake too ) and i would want to know what could the problem be.

try checking the connection at the sending unit on the drivers side fender. it is to the rear or close to the engine bay firewall next to the cruise control thing. it might be bad,or you might have a vacume leak there.the sender is plainly marked,just look and see

the problem is...its a stock boost gauge. Just spend 40 more bucks on a good aftermarket one. You gotta replace that stock P.O.S anyway.

i took out the stock boost gauge and installed the factory volt meter

fixing it could be easy. maybe the sender is unplugged or the vacuum line to it is capped off for whatever reason.
