Ok so today we decided to swap the tranny and clutch on my car. So we go the the tranny/clutch off the car almost without any problems, now the problem or question is...how the Fuck do we get the tranny back on? it seems impossible because it hits everywhere and anyway we try to get it on. If you have any writeups, pics, input that will help please feel free :)

Do you have a clutch alignment tool? Make sure its all nice and straight.

When Chriso AKA Jesus Jr put Kyles transmission in he just set it on his chest and Hulk'd it into the car.

If you can get the spine into the clutch and pretty far in you can turn the spline from the rear to wiggle it into the clutch disc.

Haven't tried this personally, but some guys un-bolt the motor mounts and use an engine lift to tilt the moter. Should make it easier to align.

I cant think of anthing but just to clarify:

Only the flywheel should be on the engine. The clutch assembly should all be on the tranny away from the engine.

Is the shifter off of the tranny...?

Through the access plates on the side of the transmission bellhousing.

I just did this Thursday night with my motor hanging on my cherry picker. I had the same problems. When I finally did what yellow is telling you (Yellow is the man), it went on no problem. I needed to lift the PP with a crowbar to get the first bolt started.
