Timing belt?

When my timing belt went, the engine would crank over all I wanted but it would never catch. The clue was that the tach stayed at a flat zero while it was cranking.

1. Check Mass Air Flow Sensor
2. Check Throttle Position Sensor
3. Check the plug wires (Make sure they are in the right spot, and make sure they are ALL the way in the cylinder head)
4. Check the fuses in the drivers side kick panel
5. Check the amount of energy left in the battery (Volts)
6. Check to see if you have gas (Obvious)
7. Check to see if there is any coolant or something in your plug galley, this will cross sparks and cause this to happen.
8. Check all other sensors and plugs and fuses.

k ill do that too, now that u mention that i jiggled the harness close to the cps and it kind of wanted to start ill chek the wires tomorrow along with the sensors. Im gonna go ahead and pass through autozone and get a volt/ohm meter to check the sensors resistances ....

IT LIIIIIIIIVES !!!!:naughty: Yeah i just got back with my car from walt mart. The belt tensioner bolt was loose so the cams were not aligned. I re aligned them and tightened bolt to 36lbs, adjusted timing and she started first try. What a relief and i also found out that my failsafe thermostat was stuck open wow. I went back to orielys and told em if it has warranty and thet said no because THEY DIDNT PUT THE WARRANTY in my account. So i got a new one Its a Moto Rad Failsafe part # 7240-180 thats the one i got and they also sell the # 7240-195 the 160 is special order they are $12 dllrs but well worth it..Thanks to everyone that helped ....Problem Solved :icon_bigg
