I should have known better, probably, but just changed out the leaking heater core in my '89. Was very careful with nuts and bolts, etc. Got it all back together with no spare parts left and was proud. Then, it would not start. Engine cranks but doesn't try to start. Suspect no ignition. Computer is hooked up correctly...I checked again. It ran when I pulled it in to start work. Also, getting no idiot lights on dash. Does anyone have an idea where I should start to look for what I flubbed up? I am sure it is relatively simple, but no idea where to start and don't relish taking the whole thing back apart...wasn't fun the first time. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks.

First thing I would check is your EFI fuse. ;)

As someone who's pulled the dash a few times, you have my sympathies.

Ya. Highly doubt his ic pipe came off from pull the dash.

Is the ignition switch plugged in?

Can pull the covers for that and get under there and see if you missed anything.

Also dumb question but did you unhook the battery?

Did you get the 2 large connectors back into the driver-kick-panel fusebox area? Also, hooked up ALL of the guage cluster's connectors? Make sure you hooked up the safety-flasher and cig lighter... Your turn signals will not work without the flasher being hooked up and some of the guages/lighting is tied into the cig lighter circuit.

Good luck!!

OP mentioned that is cranks, so I think we can rule that out unless he has some magical battery of some sort. :)

OP, have you checked these things that Satan posted?

Thanks to all for the quick responses. The problem with the engine starting was that I had only partially hooked up that largish rectangular connector to the back of the driver's fuse box. Got it up and running...hallelujah! Still no idiot lights or gauges but tackling that now. Only thing seen so far is that there is a 2-pin connector in the same strand as the hazard flasher connector. Don't have that 2-pin connector hooked up and trying to figure out where it goes to...nothing obvious in the area.

Thanks again for the help.
