help on install

im going to hook up my safc II, and im wondering what is the easiest way to splice into the ecu harness.

any other tips on the install would help.

well, honestly get that thing and wire it outside the car. Otherwise, you'll be up-side-down under the dash, and well. It sucks.

Make sure you solder your connections and use heat shrink tubing to seal...the last thing you want is to intro "noise" to your ECU from crappy connections.

As much as I agree with you...
I solder everything.
I keep hearing that you're better to use a high quality crimp with shrink wrap as the solder inhibits current flow, whereas a good wire to wire crimp offers perfect conductivity. There was a large war over this and I think I side with the crimpers now. It's sad. Anyway, not crappy "butt" connectors, but invest in a good set of AMP crimpers and straight through crimps. It's how toyota did it from the factory.
Shrink wrap or death, you choose.

soldering is alright, as long as you dont make a cold solder. heat the wires and let the solder flow onto the connection itself, rather than melting solder onto the tip of the iron and dripping it onto the connection
