lots of rust penetrant, an impact, some patience, and possibly an easy out...

youll also have to be compfortable laying underneath a jacked up, 3500lb car and using sockets and extensions

Makita? Blah... go with a Rigid.

Hell, by now most stock exhausts are probably falling off on their own... I know my first NA lost the muffler when the weld finally let go, driving down the road. Didn't fall all the way off though, was dragging haha...
