I need some input from sm members. I currently own two supras that need repair. The First, a 86.5 that the rear suspenion is junk, rusted trunk/floor-boards.(not to bad) The good on the 86.5 is good drivetrain and no cosmetic damage. The other supra is a 89 targa. The good, no rust and is very clean. The bad is no motor/trans, cosmetic damage(headlight housing, fender, header panel, hood, door, rocker trim.) My dilema is im stuck wether to fix the 86.5 or steal the parts of the 86.5 to fix the 89. I have a mildly built n/a motor that is going in one of the cars. What should i do?:1zhelp: Im parting out one car for sure. The 89 is already to drop the driveline into and go. The 86.5's problem is the subframe is badly cracked and all the bolts are frozen into the bushings and one bolts is broken off. (Cant get the suspention off, to go into the newer subframe.) I want to go targa but im on the fence on this one.

Drop the motor into the 89, swap good parts to the 89. Good cosmetics is nothing if the the sub frame is gone.

actually i change my mind now that i see those pics... :aigo:

i'd honestly get another rust free targa in good condition and part out the other 2.... but if i had to pick one to restore it would be the 86.5, i wouldn't mess with a supra that was in a significant accident.

I took auto collision in high school for 2yrs(just graduated this year) and that damage is nothing for me to fix! A little tuggin here and there and all good! Ive fixed worse. My teach said i can bring it in to use on frame machine for free. That will cover the damage to front. 1/4 panel is easy fix.

Yes the pics are bad lookin, but think about it. If i use the door and the front body parts off the 86.5 its not that bad.:icon_conf Also, i cant part both cars out because i need a second car to drive as a backup car! My primary dd is a 92 s10:3d_frown: I need something that can go "faster"
