I need a truck to haul my Supra around in. Not really sure what would be the best choice.

Suprahero, you're thinking one of two things:

1. He'll never make HP look as good as me, his car is red.
2. WTF?
3. I'll go tow your Supra with my 1JZ powered Supra.
4. After I degree my cams.
5. My car tows the truck.

What kind of trailor would you guys recommend?

I guess that question would decide the overall weight, therefore helping me choose a truck. I just don't know which trailors will clear the front lip of a Lowered Supra, fits the Supra best, most secure, price, etc......

it really depends on your budget.

if you wanted a cheaper route, something like a mid 90's 3/4 ton w/ a 18' open deck beavertail trailer would work well.

if you wanted something more serious, a 1 ton truck w/ a 24' haulmark enclosed would be sweet.

18' beaver tail with box, that's it.

Now the truck. Damn this is fast.

Would a F-150 get the job done? What are the cons? Truck not heavy enough, transmission not good enough? What am I looking for?

f-150 is a little light. id go for a 250/2500 (3/4 ton)

when towing you want to be heavier than the load, or atleast 80% of it.

edit:

ss- i second the hot and humid. jeesh

5th wheel and gooseneck are a little more stable, but harder to take turns with. your truck makes the turn well before the trailer does.

get naked & boost a supra
TUNDRA!
my brother pulls a t300 bobcat on its trailer with a 99 TACOMA. he also pulled a 10,000 lb. loaded dump trailer. after that he bought electric brakes, sway control, and helper springs for the truck/trailer.

I pulled my supra with my 2001 Tacoma many times with no problem at all.

TRAILER- 16 or 18 foot dovetail (beavertail)

Any way you look at it:

-If you're serious about towing, buy a diesel. Im loyal to the GM's with the Allison transmission in them due to the fact the Allison is almost bullett proof.

-If you're serious about hauling, buy a Featherlight. You'll pay for it, but they are the best trailers on Earth!.

go with the cummins diesel - its the bang for the buck truck, unless your feeling like spending money go for the duramax. But for sure stay away from the powerchoke's....I mean powerstroke
