:icon_conf Hey wats up ! Merry Christmas to everyone ! I am new here and also to the world of Supras ! I recently purchased a 1987 Supra non-turbo version, but with a new 7mgte Turbo engine straight from Tokyo Motors with an automatic trans in it ! I bought it like that...the engine only has 75K on it. I am in the process of expanding my home and my money is all accounted for, but I want to know if anybody can give me some tips of how to gain the most horsepower using the factory components for now, so I can have a little fun with it ! Thanks for your help and I hope I here from you soon !!:icon_bigg

First up, you'll need some basic maintenance, or you'll be sorry. Fluids, hoses, seals - check as many as you can.

After that is done, new intake, 3 inch exhaust from the back of the turbo all the way out, and then buy a boost controller and crank it up until just before you hit fuel cut.

well it all really depends on your budget.

you can get a K&N FIPK intake for like 140 bucks

cat back exhaust for 300-800 buck

bic downpipe for 200 bucks or so

also i would invest in an aftermarket boost gauge so you can tell how much boost you are actually running. Thats about 50 bucks

but most importantly....as most people will say on the forums...make sure your car properly maintained. Check all the vacuum lines, change oil, check fluids...etc...etc

isn't there a sogi air intake mod? You could hollow out your cats, or buy a test pipe.
My car has a 3" exhaust with no-cat all the way back and a Magnaflow 3" muffler, its also an automatic but with a naturally aspirated rear end (higher gears) !!:icon_bigg

1. back the screw out on the stock afm housing
2. shim the wastegate
3. 3" exaust, no cats(high flow cats if the test in your area)
4. good tires.

first and formostCHANGE ALL YOUR FLUIDS. REPLACE HOSES. FIND THE BUGS AND WORK THEM OUT!!!!.

thats a quick start.

as far as air filters, use the apexi at suprasport.com. flows better and dont clog afm's either.
