I need your help ASAP. My car sounds like shit. I bought a N1 style muffler and had Benders (a local shop known for great exhaust work) install it with 2.5" piping from the manifold back with a resinator inbetween. the car is an NA auto.and way to loud now. Infact its almost embarissing. What can I do to make it less loud. I plan on doing a complete rebuild and turbo over the winter next year, so custom was the way to go since it was less expensive. No I sound like rice in disquise.

If you're going with a turbo swap get a 3" exhaust and get some high flow cats to quiet down a bit
the turbo will also act as a muffler. i had a friend with 3" catback on a eclips gs and i could hear him a block away. now he has a gsx with 3" turboback and at idle it sounds stock. ether keep the 2.5" or go bigger and just get the turbo soon 
Also different exhaust systems tend to have different sounds. The n1 from my experience is generally just a loud sounding muffler/exhaust. As stated above though... before you do anything else get a resonator on the system if you dont already have one. (can i just say that i <3 the way the stock system sounds without a resonator. Nice and throaty.)
Thanks for the help guys. I do have a resinator on the exhaust. In fact at idle you can feel the vibration on your pant legs and when slowing down it seems to backfire. I have the Avic N-1 in the car and can barely hear a movie or my navi chic who gives directions. If i took out the resinator and had it just 2.5" piping until I get the turbo (end of summer), will it be less loud?
