Alright I was looking in the engine bay and noticed that there is a broken fitting at my thermostat housing facing the passenger side. I saw a vague pic in a service manual that showed 2 vaccum looking lines hooking up to it. I have a couple lines that arent hooked up to anything but I am not sure what goes where. The previous owner had a rebuilt motor put in and I am finding little stuff left and right that is not right. You kow the usual tear something apart and have extra parts when everything was put back together kind of deal.

There's a vacuum diagram under your hood. It will show you where everything goes. Also look on 7mtech. Go to helpful links. Then go to tsrm. It will tell you anything and everything you need. If you don't search before you ask a question, you're going to get flamed, yelled at, spit on, and probably kicked. You should be able to handle this one pretty easily if you look. good luck....................lol

I already was looking at the cygnius site.. I think I found that it is the BVSV.. but I dont really know where the hoses go.. I have a feeling I am going to have to go back and fix a lot of someones mistakes.. I have already had to do a bunch here and there to get things working somewhat like they should.

I'm pretty sure it goes back to the charcoal cannister. It's the big black can mounted to your firewall on the passenger's side. There's two vacuum lines that hook to the top of it. One of them goes to your bvsv. Hope this helps.

ok so from that link i gave, one you can clearly see where it goes, the other goes to the bracket that holds your AFM up from laying on the fender, it will have a port on it, from there it goes through the bracket and out another vacuum port that leads to the charcoal canister near the rear passenger side of the motor....

Well I know my bvsv is broken now, from what the diagram is showing. Is there anything real dangers to not having this hooked up? I was reading on here somewhere that you can eliminate the whole charcoal canister mumbo jumbo and just go to a vented gas cap..

You can remove it if you know what you're doing. For future reference I wouldn't refer to anything on the supra as mumbo jumbo. If you take your question seriously, you will get some serious answers. I had to split the vacuum line so that it would fit over my bvsv becayse the tip broke off of mine as well. Just so you know, I'm not trying to preach to you, just trying to help you since your new. Hope you enjoy our site and learn alot.............lol

Little pieces of tubing (I used brass because it was laying around doing nothing) JB welded to the broken off nipples worked well for me.

well my bvsv is totally knocked off flush with the nut part of it. I might have to make a trip to a toyota dealership.

Go to a local you-pull-and-save and pick up one off another toyota car. I know that older Supras have them. What ever car it is, just look for the thermostat housing and see if there is on one there.

Good Luck.
