ok everyone i just got done putting a jdm motor in my car and got like 400 miles on it since i put it in the car and started driving it. well i raced a guy yesterday on my way to work...oil pressure was around 30 never gets low unless at idle....sounded fine when i went into work but when i came out and started it up and started to pull out at about 2500rpms there was a unusual noise coming from the motor but went away around 3500rpms or if i pushed the car....well i slowed down and same thing at about 2500rpms the noise came back but goes away at 3500+rpms....could this been signs off rod knock? or something else? i checked my cams they had oil on them and was tight so they arent lose....i got home and reved the car up and the sound was still there ::thinking it was something in the tranny::... work done so far.....1.2mm hks mhg,arp headbolts,dual friction centerforce clutch,shimmed wastegate,intake,porsche bov,and the jdm motor.... if its rod knock im thinking of selling the car ...been a royal pain in the ass since i got this car...any feedback would help alot....thnx

hard to diagnose sounds over the internet. if it sounds like somebody hitting the side of the block with a piece of wood that goes in time with engine RPMS its probably a rod knock.
rod knock is caused by low oil level, or dirty oil.
whens the last time you changed the oil? is there oil in the motor?

i changed the oil out last week....yea it sounds like something is hitting the block but only for a second when reving up but stays 2500-3500rpms
if its rod knock ill probably sell the car as to ive been working on this car since march and had nothing but problems...
